You can make a difference this Thanksgiving!
This holiday season, we’re combining efforts with Community Action House to provide care boxes for our community members in need. And we need your help!
We are planning to provide 1,600 local families with a Thanksgiving Care Box. Each box contains hygiene and household products that families need, but often can’t afford. You can bless a local family in need by volunteering and donating.
Why was the Great Thanksgiving Banquet cancelled?
Due to Covid, restrictions on the size of indoor events means we are unable to provide a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner for 1,500 community members. In an effort to continue to meet the needs of our neighbors, we have opted to join efforts with Community Action House to provide care boxes instead.
Is the Mission still serving a Thanksgiving meal?
Yes! The men, women and children living in our shelters during the holidays depend on us for their daily meals. We still plan to host a celebratory Thanksgiving meal with a limited number of guests in our shelters. We simply cannot host our traditional community-wide dinner at DeVos Fieldhouse due to the size.
